A close-up photograph of a forearm featuring a large, freshly inked Japanese calligraphy tattoo of the kanji "愛" (Love). The tattoo showcases powerful, energetic brush strokes and ink splashes characteristic of MADARA's "Hisseki-jutsu" style, distinguishing it from standard mass-produced fonts.

No computer font can capture this soul.
This is MADARA’s living art – your lifetime companion.

Commercial fonts cannot express the way you live.

Tattoos last forever. Yet, many “Kanji tattoos” are merely standard computer fonts or, worse, carry incorrect meanings. MADARA creates “Hisseki-jutsu” art—calligraphy that projects energy and spirit. This is not just text; it is a personal talisman that you will carry on your skin for the rest of your life.

Choose real art — to avoid a lifetime of regret.

Your body is not a canvas for simple text copies.
Choosing MADARA means choosing a path without future regret.
We offer only authentic Japanese calligraphy — works that unite correct meaning with overwhelming artistic expression.

Our 3 Core Strengths

Feature 1 : Available in vector format.

A vectorized digital image of Japanese calligraphy, preserving the dynamic brush strokes and ink texture with clearly defined outlines.

Tattoo-Ready Vector Data “Best for Your Tattoo Artist” Unlike scanned images, we provide Adobe Illustrator (AI/PDF) vector data. Your tattoo artist can resize it to fit any body part (arm, back, chest) without losing quality.

Feature 2 : NFT-Based Permanent Certificate (Optional)

Conceptual image illustrating blockchain technology securing authenticity and ownership records through a connected digital network

This option provides a tamper-proof digital certificate using blockchain technology for your completed calligraphy design.

The certificate permanently records:

  • when the artwork was created,
  • for whom it was created,
  • and its authenticity as an original work by MADARA.

This option is intended to preserve provenance and authenticity.
It does not automatically transfer copyright or grant unrestricted commercial usage.

It is designed for those who wish to leave a clear, verifiable record that this artwork is genuine, original, and uniquely created for them.

Feature 3 : We translate your ideas into meaningful Kanji.

Not sure about the translation?
We carefully examine the meaning and nuance of each character to ensure it truly reflects your philosophy. Based on this process, we select and propose the most appropriate and meaningful Kanji for you.

FAQ

I’m not sure which Kanji to choose. Can you help?

Yes. Simply let us know the meaning or concept you wish to convey (e.g., “Love,” “Courage”), and we will propose the most suitable Kanji for you.

Do you provide the actual tattooing service?

No, we specialize strictly in creating the “design data.” Please bring the final digital files we provide to a trusted tattoo artist in your area.

How long does delivery take? A

Typically, it takes 3–5 days from your order to the initial draft proposal. The entire process up to final delivery generally takes 1–2 weeks.

Can the calligraphy be changed after it is completed?

In principle, major changes are not offered after completion.
Because the artwork is intended to be permanently engraved on the body, each stroke is created with great care.
This is why dialogue and confirmation before production are essential.

Can I request a piece even if I haven’t chosen a tattoo artist yet?

Yes, it is possible.
Even if you have not chosen a tattoo artist yet, the artwork will be created with clear lines and flexible data formats suitable for future tattooing.

Do you explain the meaning and cultural background of the calligraphy?

Yes. Upon request, we provide an explanation of the meaning, background, and cultural context of the chosen kanji or word.
This is an important step to avoid misunderstandings or superficial use.

Will the same calligraphy be used for other clients?

With an optional exclusivity plan, the artwork can be managed as a one-of-a-kind piece exclusively for you.
In this case, the same calligraphy will not be reused for other requests, even if the same word is ordered.

What is the NFT option?

The NFT option adds an additional layer of protection beyond MADARA’s certification.
It records the artwork’s uniqueness and attribution on the blockchain, providing long-term protection in the digital age.

Can the completed artwork be used for purposes other than a tattoo?

The artwork is primarily created for tattoo use.
If you wish to use it for other purposes such as print, web, or redistribution, please consult us in advance.

Who is this service intended for?

This service is intended for those who value the meaning of words,
who wish to understand cultural context,
and who seek a piece of calligraphy they can carry for a lifetime rather than follow a trend.

If I choose the NFT certification option, can I resell the artwork to someone else?

Yes, the NFT itself (the digital certification token) can be transferred or resold to a third party.
An NFT is a blockchain-based asset, and ownership of the token can be transferred.

However, please note the following important points:

  • Transferring the NFT means transferring the digital proof of provenance and ownership
  • The copyright and moral rights of the calligraphy always remain with MADARA
  • A tattoo engraved on the body is not a transferable or resellable physical asset

In other words, the NFT serves as a permanent record of provenance,
but it does not grant the right to freely reproduce, commercialize, or reuse the tattoo design.
This service is not intended for investment or speculative resale.

Danny Report

Custom Tattoo Calligraphy Journey

The Danny Report is a documentary-style series that records the real journey of one client—from personal intention and reflection, to encountering Japanese calligraphy, to the creation of a custom artwork, and finally to its transformation into a tattoo.

Rather than focusing only on the finished piece, this report captures the entire process: the thoughts, doubts, preparation, choices, and decisions that lead to the final result.

It is not a promotion.
It is a record of a journey.
