Theme: The Art of Love and Soul

It expresses the power of love and the rhythm of life that flow through the very act of living.
Love is the energy that moves life itself, and the heartbeat is its proof.
The movement of the heart, the feeling of caring for someone, and the will to live—
all of these exist as one, united as “love” and “the pulse of life.”

Theme:Silence and Light

Even without words or sound, there is a true presence and awareness that can be felt deep within the heart.
It is within silence that invisible light—the essence of truth—reveals itself.
I believe that in the stillness, where nothing seems to exist, all answers and light are hidden, and I express this belief through my calligraphy.

Theme:Inner Prayer

Away from the noise of the outer world, I return to the quiet place within and remember the heart of prayer.
Even without words, it is the gentle feeling of thinking of someone, giving thanks, or making a wish—an essential emotion for living.
Through my calligraphy, I express that moment when the heart becomes still and prayer naturally arises from within.

The Artistic Background of Madara:
Madara grew up surrounded by painting and writing, drawing daily with art supplies provided by his mother. At age five, he began studying under a master of the All Japan Calligraphy Federation and received acclaim at numerous exhibitions throughout his youth. At age 15, he qualified as a master, adopted the pen name “Tsukikaze,” and embarked on his own path in calligraphy. At age 28, he became fascinated with graphology and began researching techniques to improve people’s destinies through handwriting. This led to the development of a style of calligraphy called “Hisseki-jutsu,” which incorporates prayers. In 2002, he began inscribing names on one-sho rice cakes using Hisseki-jutsu, a method of engraving for children’s happiness. This garnered significant attention, and over the course of 20 years, he inscribed 800,000 names. However, he lost family members in the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and faced further hardships following the nuclear accident. Despite his efforts after relocating, the company went bankrupt in 2018. He subsequently relocated to Kanagawa and launched a calligraphy-related business in 2023. Taking this opportunity, they changed their name to “Madarra” and are currently active under the name “MADARA.”
